am i the only one who prefers to be alone at parties? its weird. like, im a total party animal, but if it gets to a point where the focus isnt on me, id much prefer to sneak off to a corner somewhere and daydream. i swear on James Michael that I’m not antisocial. most my friends would testify to the exact oppoisite. i guess i just like being by myself…in the middle of parties? odd, i know. also, today was the first day of my new job. it was pretty intense, 8 hours straight of folding shirts and sorting through skate gear with ONE 15-minute break. I thinkI’m going to like it. Im usually going to be assigned to the childrens store though. that will be fun. mothers are more likely tobuy things for their children than they are for themselves anyways. cant wait.so yeah. im at a party. its 1 am. And im holed up in the hosts room with her laptop writing on my blog. yep, im definately cool alright.

but im going to have to go out to the party soon.

and pretend not to be angry or upset.

i may be a bitch, but im not that selfish. im not going to screw up someone elses birthday party. so i guess im going back out there now. not that they seem to miss me much, yay,

seriously. where do people get off on being totally fake around everyone theyre trying to impress and then being a bitch to those they claim are their friends? Being a dick doesnt make you cool. It doesnt make people like you. It makes the whole fucking situation awkward as anything. So, say youre at this party. and your closest friend there decides to split their time between ignoring you (which you dont mind) and publicly ridiculing you. wouldnt that kind of suck? yeah. thats what i thought too. i get that youre excited to see all your old friends again. thats fine. who wouldnt be? but spending obscene amounts of time telling them how uncool i am and making things as unnecessarily uncomfortable for me as possible? geez, who needs enemies when youve got friends like that?

AIM (AOL Instant Messenger for the blissfully unaware) is ridiculous.  Like, if you want to block someone, it pretends that they are not online. What if you WANT to know if they’re online, you just want them blocked too? It’s really quite silly. Because then you have to unblock them every time you want to know if they’re online or not.  Then, seeing that they are unblocked, they can IM you again.

And the whole process takes FOREVER.

This is one of many reasons AIM sucks.

they are a little bit gauche, but they express the feelings that many are thinking but no one would actually say in conversation.

Some people start a blog because they’re bored, or they think they can make money. Some probably start one for laughs, or to share experiences with friends. I am blogging because I lose diaries. I’ll buy a really nice one that I think I will really use and two weeks later… BAM… It’s gone.

Computers are a whole lot harder to lose.

The problem with my school is that there ARE no decent guys. Really. The only hot ones are complete jackasses and therefore unworthy of my attention.

Another problem: I have a mother who thinks that computers are not to be used past 10:00.
